Mrs. Steele’s 3rd Grade

We can solve math problems many different ways.We are good at using “number strings” “draw pictures”, and use what we know like “Doubles” “10 combos”. and “9 combos. Wow, a fast and busy week.

Today we learnd a new song in music the  third movement.We played a new math game plus-minus stay the same.It was a fun game.We had another fun day.Your Blog Masters,Jacob and Xander.

Today we rocked! Mrs.Steele was so proud of us.We all wrote incredible pioneers stories with our parents.We are the smartest class she ever had.She says that our parents must love us ,bunches!!Your blog Masters,Jacob and Xander.

We practiced for a fitness test today.We had to do pull-ups,trunk lifts,and we shot hoops.The flex stretch was fun.It is important to be fit and healthy.Your Blog masters,Jacob andXander.

Because we are in 3rd grade,we voted for our class representatives.First we nominated classmates,then we voted.We elected one boy and one girl to go to meetings.Conner and Kacie are our Student Representatives. Your Blog Masters Jacob and Xander.

Today we were pioneers and built our log-homes.  Of course, real pioneers didn’t use pretzels. We all had a really good day.  As “big third graders” we also got to vote for Student Council Officers. Now that was exciting!  Sincerely, Conner

We played Alien Scavenger hunt and Monkey Business on the computer. I liked Monkey Business because I could write sentences to make a bridge to save myself. We had another good day. Sincerely , Conner

In Library we listened to Ms. Pate read Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Book? This was a funny book and made us laugh. Then we picked our favorite author or  book and added it to our Reading Tree. It’s been a great day. 

Pioneers often lived in dug-out homes. These homes were dark and a lot like a cave. They had one room for the whole family and one door. If we were pioneers and we got bored, we could whittle on a stick, read the Bible, or tell stories to each other. Sincerely, Conner

Today we learned that Pioneers moved west to look for gold , make houses, mark their land, and for adventure. Living in the Pioneer period would be hard–I would like it. Sincerely  , Conner
