Today in my Idaho book, I learned that Idaho’s flag was adopted in 1907.  Idaho became the 43rd state on July 3, 1890.  It’s the 13th largest in the United States. The states nickname is the gem state.  Sincerely, Trever

Today in health we talked about taking care of your ears and nose.  One way to protect your ears is by keeping sound low when you play tv, video games, or a CD player.  To protect the nose, you should not pick it so much that it bleeds. We had a healthy day.

Today in our Health books,we learned that we have holes on our skin. These tiny holes are called pores. Sweat comes up through our pores. We sweat to cool off. Dogs can’t sweat through their skin, so they pant.TodayMrs. Steele came back from Florida.

See You Monday!

January 25, 2008

We have been having fun. We played crazy football in gym. The Giants played against the Patriots. The Patriots won! We think we may need some more work on clocks! Mrs. Parker helped us with our line math. We enjoyed our multiplication review. We are also anxious for your return. Mrs. Kennison gave everyone of us got an infraction slip!

P. S. What happened when the man threw the clock out the window? Love ya, Your favorite 3rd graders!!

Today we did a different kind of math it is called grid math. If there is 2 times 4 then you put 2 times 4 down on the paper and you have the right anwser because there is two fours which the anwer is 2 times four. Mrs. Kennison taught us it today. It was hard but very interesting. We did some cursive a and d.  Sincerely, the 3rd grade bloggers

I think that this gator is smiling at us!  What do you think?  Mr. Blaha didn’t have to jump on this one to save us, a big cement wall kept us safe.

(Don’t forget to look at the comments below on your entry because you asked me to tell you what I learned today.)

Be good to each other,

Mrs. Steele

Today we had a sub.It was Mrs.Kennison.She is very nice.We also got a commet from Mrs.Steele because she is gone in 83 degree in Florida. She is lucky. We learned that Martin Luther King Jr. spent more then 18 years in school so he got his PHD.She asked us a question about what is the weather in Rapid city. Because this morning was -22.And if it is 83 in Florida and -22 in Rapid that would equal 105.We had a awesome day. Your blog masters,Izabel and Mike.

We miss you!!!!

Dear Mrs. Steele,

We figured out the temperature difference between Rapid and Orlando.  It is 105 degree difference.  Mrs. Kennison is a very very nice teacher and we are being good students.  We are sorry but we are still trying to figure out what makes clouds.  Martin Luther King attended school for more than 18 years from 1st grade to getting his PHD.  Tell us one thing you have learned today from your conference.  We can’t wait till you come back.        From your favorite class!

January 22, 2008

Hello Class!

I miss you all already. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. We arrived in Orlando, Florida this afternoon. When we left our house this morning at 4:30 (you were all snoozing in your warm cozy beds) it was -22 degrees at the airport. When we arrived in Orlando this afternoon at 1:00 Rapid City time, it was 83 degrees in Orlando. Can you figure out the temperature change in degrees? We had to wait in Rapid City to get our plane de-iced. We got on a big plane called Ted to fly to Orlando. I watched a movie (really, I took a little nap.) The clouds were beautiful. What makes those clouds?  I hope you all have a wonderful day! Please be on your most “Expert” behavior for Ms. Micki and Ms. Parker. I will try to learn about your day after our teacher meetings today! Have fun!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Steele
